Consulting Services

Southland provides technical assistance to nonprofit organizations and public agencies interested in developing a certified farmers' market in their community.  Southland specializes in conducting feasibility studies for your organization or agency to assess the likelihood of developing a successful certified farmers' market in your community.  Southland recently completed feasibility studies for the Cities of Pico Rivera, Compton, and Rancho Cucamonga, the County of El Dorado and the Pacoima Partners Nonprofit Organization. The Historic Los Angeles Farmers’ Market will be a Southland Farmers’ Market Association market.  Approximately 80% of the market will be certified producers and growers.  The market is sponsored and promoted by the Historic District Los Angeles Business Improvement District, and supported the Los Angeles Downtown News, the Downtown L.A. We are looking for more certified producers of potatoes, eggs, mushrooms, beans, Asian vegetables, oriental grasses and pea sprouts, dates, potted cactus, and juices. Certified producers interested in selling these products, please contact Howell at 310-455-0181.

We are also looking for a flower grower to join our Topanga Canyon Farmers' Market on Fridays

from 9AM to 1PM.

We are looking for a certified producers of potatoes, eggs, and mushrooms in the Inland Empire area to participate in the Fontana, Riverside, Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga certified farmers' markets.

Southland currently has a stall space available for certified producers at the following list of certified farmers' markets.  We are particularly interested in recruiting growers who are local to these markets.
